Is mixing creatine with protein powder a bad idea?

    Alfredo Franco-Obregón, PhD
    Zürich, Switzerland
“On the contrary, combining creatine with protein (and carbohydrates) is a very good idea, since
it will increase the potency of your major anabolic hormones. First, the combination of protein
and carbohydrates is much more effective at releasing insulin than carbohydrates alone (A1).
Augmenting insulin release, in turn, will increase the amount of creatine that is absorbed by
your muscles (A2). Consuming a carbohydrate-protein drink is also more effective at releasing
growth hormone than a purely protein drink (A1). Creatine, in turn, will further augment the
release of growth hormone (A3). Therefore, in concert, the effects of creatine, carbohydrates
and protein will enhance your body’s anabolic drive.”

Very good and informative article, nothing complicated and bullshit like most of health articles these days who keep playing with words to explain or to confuse you about something. I overtrained last week, feeling little better reading this. lol Thanks
